The PT-100 is a new and very small passive video transceiver with noise filter, for twisted pair cable transmission of PAL/NTSC
composite video signals. The PT-100 is having a very good RLF (Return Loss Factor) and by that a very good linearity, not seen
alike.

Being a transceiver, the PT-100 can be used as “back-to-back” for short distance, or combined with an active video receiver to
obtain both longer distance and better picture *) quality. PT-100 will match to any CAT5E cables but will also accept standard in- or
outdoors telephone cable, having higher impedance. Choosing the right installation cable, we recommend you to read the

*) Any passive transmission will cause a reduction of the picture quality. However in short distance installations and
if no actual need for high quality picture is present, the loss will not become of any practical importance.

Connect the wires to the spring terminals at both ends, “colour-to-colour” as shown at Fig.1. NOTE: The PT-100 does not offer you
galvanic separation, which means that possible ground loops might cause “hum-bar” interference in the video signal. That can be
eliminated by adding a Galvanic Separator unit VGVS-75 or CGC-75D to the coax line in front of and close to the monitor or
system.
